It might sound a bit corny, but you are all winners today! A huge shout out to ALL our athletes who came in to re-test their one rep max Snatch. Not only is the WhiteBoard littered with PR badges, the form and efficiency in your movements improved DRAMATICALLY. During the initial test, we saw a lot of people muscling the bar up and catching in a power snatch (and then lowering down to and OHS). Tuesday we say people dropping under that bar with nice speed and focusing on opening those hips from the power position. The “before” and “after” on this Snatch cycle goes WAY beyond the scores posted today. Take a moment to think about your individual win. Did you feel more confident? Catch the bar at the bottom? Trust that you can catch it overhead? Lock out faster? Lift heavier? Or lift the same but it just felt ‘better’? Revel in those wins. You should all be incredibly proud of the work you have put in over the last few months — it certainly paid off in more ways than one today.Here’s Dave O. in action.
